Hyundai has cut the starting price of the 2026 Ioniq 5 N to $59,900, excluding a $1,600 destination charge, a $6,300 MSRP reduction compared with the 2025 model. Hyundai says the move is part of a broader strategy to make N performance accessible to more buyers.
The 2026 model year also brings a set of updates. A NACS port replaces the CCS port, giving the car access to the Tesla Supercharger network, and Hyundai includes CCS-to-NACS adapters for both Level 2 AC and DC fast charging along with a dual-voltage Level 1 and Level 2 combination charger. The N Drift Optimizer expands from a single mode to ten selectable stages, and the car adds Forward Attention Warning with an in-cabin camera, auto up and down rear windows, and a new Performance Blue Pearl exterior color.
The Ioniq 5 N is Hyundai’s first all-electric N model, built on the E-GMP platform and producing up to 641 hp with N Grin Boost engaged. Its N e-Shift system simulates the gearshifts of the eight-speed dual-clutch transmission in combustion N models by controlling motor torque to create a power-shift sensation, with torque curves that vary by simulated gear, paired with N Active Sound+ for audible cues that Hyundai developed in part to help drivers gauge speed and cornering pace on track.
On a personal note, I own an Ioniq 5 N and love the thing, but I’ve always thought the MSRP was on the high side. The price cut is the right move. It’ll also be interesting to see what this means for pricing on the upcoming Genesis GV60 Magma, which will have to slot in somewhere above a $59,900 Ioniq 5 N.
