Hyundai enters the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers Grand Prix leading both the TCR manufacturers and drivers championships in the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, with four Bryan Herta Autosport entries running the Elantra N TCR. The race is scheduled for Saturday, August 22 at VIRginia International Raceway, with live streaming coverage on Peacock and YouTube.
The No. 76 Hyundai Elantra N TCR of Preston Brown and Denis Dupont arrives at VIR off a win at Road America, where the pair advanced from fifth on the grid to take what Hyundai counts as its fourth victory of the season. Mason Filippi and Bryson Morris lead the drivers standings in the No. 33 Hope on Wheels Elantra N TCR after adding another podium at the same round, giving Hyundai a double podium there.

Bryan Herta Autosport fields two more cars, with Harry Gottsacker and Lance Bergstein in the No. 18 Elantra N TCR and Maddie Aust and Mark Wilkins in the No. 98. Rockwell Autosport Development runs a fifth Elantra N TCR, the No. 15 of Dan Oakley and David Hanley.
VIRginia International Raceway is a 3.27-mile, 17-turn road course located in Alton, Virginia, and the Michelin Pilot Challenge round is part of a weekend that also includes the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship’s Michelin GT Challenge.
Hyundai Hope on Wheels is donating $100 for every lap led by a Hyundai at each race during the 2026 season, the third consecutive year the program has run. Proceeds from the VIR round go to Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, North Carolina. Through six races this season, the program has raised $72,400 for pediatric cancer research and treatment.
