Representing Southern California with a customized sport compact is no easy task. Building a car to represent one of Southern California’s finest crews is even harder. Gaurang Rana represents Team Hybrid with this 2001 Honda Accord Coupe that has been built together meticulously with all of the highest quality parts. From the turbo kit to the Volk wheels on each corner, there’s no mistaking this Accord as one of Southern California’s finest.
Under the hood a custom turbo kit was installed housing a Turbonetics T3/T4 turbo. Several more components from Turbonetics complement the turbo with their Evolution 35mm wastegate and Raptor Bypass Valve. A Spearco front mount intercooler fills up the Skyline R33 styled front bumper, which leads us to the exterior. On the outside the entire vehicle has been repainted a Long Beach Blue Pearl with a custom two tone front and rear bumper. A Seibon carbon fiber hood contrasts the blue tone while the rear has been decked out with a Ground Designs Black Widow spoiler.
As mentioned before, this Accord rolls in style with 19×8-inch Volk Racing SF challenge wheels. BFGoodrich KDW rubber in a 215/35/19 size can be seen wrapping each of these lightweight, high quality wheels. For brakes, Gaurang took the liberty to swap in a complete Cl Type-S front and rear brakes from its Acura brethren. A complete 5 lug conversion was also done and the rear drums were converted to disk brakes.

On the inside a pair of Sparco Torinos along with a Sparco Flash 3 steering wheel can be spotted. A Razo shift knob along with a series of Autometer gauges finish off the package. In car electronics are plentiful starting with a Pioneer head unit, Rock Forsgate components and JL amplifiers and subwoofers.
This Accord is just one of many fine Team Hybrid projects and shows off what customizing is all about.
