Vasser Sullivan’s No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 finished fifth in the GTD PRO class at Sunday’s IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, with Jack Hawksworth and Ben Barnicoat sharing the car in the two-hour, 40-minute sprint. The team’s No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 of Aaron Telitz and Benjamin Pedersen finished eighth in GTD, and the No. 64 Ford Racing Mustang GT3 took the GTD PRO win over the No. 4 Corvette by less than a second.

Barnicoat started sixth in GTD PRO and ran in the top six before pitting from fourth on lap 46, handing the car to Hawksworth, who rejoined in 10th and climbed back into the top five. Contact from the No. 68 Car Blanche Aston Martin in turn 10 sent the Lexus off track and dropped it to seventh, and Hawksworth recovered two positions over the final 20 minutes to finish fifth. Both drivers said the contact, which came with roughly 20 minutes remaining, likely cost the car a podium finish given where it was running at the time.

In GTD, Pedersen ran long on his opening stint and led 11 laps in the No. 12 before handing over to Telitz on lap 42 and cycling back out in 10th. The car spun 10 laps later but continued, and a caution with just over an hour remaining caught the No. 12 out of sequence and dropped it to 11th before Telitz made up positions late to finish eighth.

The Indianapolis race was the final sprint of the year, and Lexus and Vasser Sullivan close the 2026 season at the 10-hour Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta on Saturday, October 3.
