Meguiar’s Brings Its 125th Anniversary Tour to Goodguys

Meguiar’s is heading to the Goodguys 39th West Coast Nationals in Pleasanton, California, as part of its 125th anniversary year. The show runs August 21 to 23 at the 270-acre Alameda County Fairgrounds and draws more than 3,000 cars and trucks, making it one of the largest hot rod gatherings in Northern California.

The company will run its display rig at the show, with staff on hand to answer product questions covering anodized surfaces, aluminum, chrome, paint, leather, plastic, and glass. Meguiar’s representatives will also be working the show fields across the weekend selecting recipients for the Meguiar’s Magnificent Awards, the All-American Awards, and All-American Sunday.

Parked alongside the rig will be a 1937 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery built by Muñoz & Sons of Aromas, California. Completed in 2016, the car was a family project led by Oscar Muñoz with sons Andre handling paint, Alonzo on fabrication, and Roberto as project manager. The build keeps the original solid front axle and rear leaf springs while running a lowered hot rod stance.

Meguiar’s connection to the car runs through its own history. Frank Meguiar Jr founded the company in 1901 and ran it with his three sons, and the business later bought a 1937 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery of its own to deliver products to customers around California and beyond.

The Muñoz family followed the 1937 with a 1938 Chevrolet Canopy Express built in traditional lowrider style, using aircraft hydraulics and a 216 cubic inch Chevrolet inline-six. That car finished fourth in the Young Guns division of the 2025 SEMA Battle of the Builders. A member of Muñoz & Sons will be at the Meguiar’s rig throughout the show to talk about the 1937.

Meguiar’s next appearances are Barrett-Jackson in Las Vegas on September 10 to 12, followed by Luftgekühlt in Atlanta on October 10.
