Jaguar revealed the Type 01 on October 6 in New York, the production version of the Type 00 concept shown in Miami in December 2024 and the first car built on the brand’s dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture. The four-door electric GT uses three motors with torque vectoring for up to 1,016 hp (1,030 PS) and 1,007 lb-ft (1,365 Nm), a 0 to 62 mph time of 3.2 seconds, and a 62 to 112 mph run of 4.0 seconds. Orders open in early 2027 with first deliveries in the second half of the year, and pricing starts at 130,000 GBP, roughly $172,000 at current exchange rates. U.S. pricing has not been announced.
A 118-kWh battery and 850-volt architecture give the Type 01 a preliminary EPA range estimate of up to 400 miles, or up to 450 miles on the WLTP cycle, and Jaguar says 350-kW DC fast charging can add 200 miles in 13 minutes. Jaguar also quotes 50:50 weight distribution and more than 360 patent applications on the car, and says its Jaguar TCS Racing Formula E team contributed to the chassis tuning.

Inside, a central spine runs the length of the cabin with brass-inspired trim on either side, a 24-inch OLED Interactive Driver Display sits ahead of the driver and runs Jaguar’s new infotainment system, and a seven-inch display between the front seats carries the most frequently used controls. Audio comes from a full-width Panoramic Soundbar, which Jaguar calls an automotive first, paired with Sensory Audio seats. Exterior paint is offered in gloss or satin finishes, and a Fender Ingot on each side carries the leaper badge.
The reveal at STORIED in West Chelsea opened with António Félix da Costa of Jaguar TCS Racing driving the Type 01 to the venue on closed roads, and Jaguar named actor Florence Pugh as its first brand ambassador for the new era, with singer-songwriter Sienna Spiro performing at the event. Jaguar says the Type 01 is designed, engineered, and built in the UK, with production starting in 2027.
