Genesis unveiled the Magma GT3 Concept at the Circuit de la Sarthe ahead of the brand’s first entry in the Hypercar class at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, held June 13 to June 14 in Le Mans, France. Genesis Magma Racing will field the GMR-001 Hypercar in the race, which falls within the team’s debut season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. The team scored points in Round 2 at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps earlier this season, and Genesis says the priority at Le Mans is completing the 24-hour race while pursuing a competitive result.
Making its global debut at the event, the Magma GT3 Concept outlines a potential future direction for Genesis Magma Racing beyond its current Hypercar program. Developed in collaboration with Hyundai Motorsport and aligned with GT3 technical regulations, the concept is an independent study rather than a derivative of an existing road car, featuring widened tracks, a prominent front splitter, enlarged ducts, a door-mounted fin, and a race-focused rear structure with a fixed wing and diffuser. Genesis says the concept remains under exploration, with its architecture, components, and development pathways yet to be defined. Alongside it, the brand reintroduced the Magma GT Concept, first shown in November 2025, now with an all-new interior featuring a twin-cockpit layout and an analog instrument cluster inspired by motor racing timekeeping instruments.
Genesis also outlined plans to expand into new European markets, including Italy, France, the Netherlands, and Spain, with further entries planned for Poland, Austria, Portugal, and Denmark. Separately, two evolved versions of the X Gran Convertible Concept, originally introduced at the 2025 Seoul Mobility Show, will appear in the Drivers’ Parade in Le Mans city center. One is finished in Liquid Titanium with a Genesis Magma Racing-inspired colorway, while the other wears Midnight Teal with tartan-inspired textiles. The concepts will be driven by Genesis brand ambassador and race advisor Jacky Ickx and reserve driver Jamie Chadwick.
