BFGoodrich Launches Trail-Terrain T/A+ All-Weather Tire

BFGoodrich Tires has launched the Trail-Terrain T/A+, an all-weather tire designed for light trucks, SUVs, and crossovers driven primarily on pavement with occasional use on unpaved roads. The tire replaces the original Trail-Terrain T/A and carries a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake rating, a 65,000-mile treadwear warranty, and a 60-day satisfaction guarantee.

Compared to its predecessor, the Trail-Terrain T/A+ uses a new all-weather rubber compound with a higher silica content that BFGoodrich says delivers 10 percent improved wet traction. The company also claims up to 25 percent better wear performance, attributed to an optimized footprint shape that distributes stress more evenly and full-depth locking 3D sipes that stabilize the tread blocks over time. Rolling resistance improves by an average of 5 percent over the original Trail-Terrain T/A, which BFGoodrich says translates to better fuel efficiency, and the tire is engineered for reduced road noise on pavement.

The launch lineup includes 33 sizes available now, with BFGoodrich planning 50 replacement sizes in total for 2026 covering popular SUV, CUV, and light truck fitments. An expanded range of 17-inch, 18-inch, 19-inch, 20-inch, and 22-inch sizes is scheduled for 2027. The Trail-Terrain T/A+ will come as original equipment on the 2026 Rivian R2, though BFGoodrich is positioning it primarily as a replacement tire for vehicles like the Honda Passport, Toyota Tacoma, Toyota RAV4, Ford F-150, and Subaru Outback. Full fitment and MSRP information by size is available on the product page.
