Subaru of America unveiled the 2027 Subaru WRX GD25 and 2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15 at Boxerfest 2026 in York, Pennsylvania, on September 27, following last week’s confirmation that two limited-production editions would debut at the show. The names reference the chassis codes each model carried when it arrived in the U.S., with the GD25 marking 25 years since the GD-chassis WRX went on sale in 2002 and the ZC15 marking 15 years since the first-generation ZC-chassis BRZ arrived in 2012. Production is capped at 350 units for the WRX GD25 and 300 units for the BRZ ZC15, and reservations open later in 2026.
The WRX GD25 comes only in World Rally Blue and only with a six-speed manual and STI short shifter, and it retains the 271-hp 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer and Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Chassis changes include gold-painted 19-inch alloy wheels, uprated Brembo brakes with gold calipers, Bridgestone Potenza S007 tires, a flexible strut tower bar, and a performance-tuned suspension with stiffer springs and revised damping. The rear wing is a dry carbon fiber swan-neck unit from Subaru Tecnica International, the same part used on Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car. Inside, the GD25 gets Recaro seats with black Ultrasuede inserts and red stitching along with an STI shift knob. Deliveries begin in summer 2027.
The BRZ ZC15 is painted in Ceramic White, a color exclusive to the edition, with matte bronze wheels, gold-painted Brembo calipers, bronze decals near the side sills, and a black decklid spoiler, a combination Subaru says references the 2020 BRZ tS. A flexible V-bar sits under the hood, and the 228-hp 2.4-liter boxer is paired only with a six-speed manual driving the rear wheels. The cabin uses black leather-appointed upholstery with Bordeaux red inserts not offered on other BRZ trims, an STI aluminum and leather short shifter, and a ZC15 anniversary plaque near the shifter. The ZC15 arrives first, with availability in early 2027.
Subaru used the same event last year to debut the 2026 WRX and BRZ Series.Yellow editions, which were also capped at 350 units per model. Detailed specifications and pricing for the GD25 and ZC15 will be announced closer to market launch.
