Subaru of America has announced pricing for the 2027 Subaru Impreza, which will start at $24,595 when it goes on sale later this year. The figure is $2,000 lower than the entry price of the 2026 model, and Subaru says it makes the Impreza the least expensive all-wheel-drive compact car on sale in the U.S. The lineup has been reduced to two trims, a new base model and the returning RS, replacing the Sport trim that served as the 2026 entry point at $26,595. Destination and delivery is $1,245, up $50 from last year, and runs $1,395 in Alaska.
Both 2027 Impreza trims are powered by a 2.5-liter boxer engine rated at 180 hp, paired with a Lineartronic CVT with steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters and an eight-speed manual mode, Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, and dual-mode SI-Drive with Intelligent and Sport settings. For 2026, the 2.5-liter was exclusive to the RS, while the Sport ran a 2.0-liter rated at 152 hp and 145 lb-ft. Subaru also lists updated stitching on the center console and revised door panel materials across the lineup, along with 20.4 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats up and 56.0 cubic feet with them folded.
The base trim comes with dark gray 17-inch alloy wheels, LED steering-responsive headlights with high beam assist, keyless access with push-button start, Tricot cloth upholstery, dual-zone automatic climate control, and USB-A and USB-C charging ports. Infotainment runs through dual 7.0-inch touchscreens, with the upper screen handling media and the lower screen covering climate and vehicle functions, and includes wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, HD Radio, and Bluetooth. EyeSight Driver Assist Technology is standard and includes pre-collision braking, lane departure and sway warning, lane keep assist, advanced adaptive cruise control with lane centering, and emergency stop assist.
The Impreza RS is priced at $29,495, unchanged from 2026, and adds dark gray 18-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a Crystal Black Silica roof spoiler, and black RS cloth upholstery. The RS gets an 11.6-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM with 360L, HD Radio, and Bluetooth, and Subaru says the wireless phone charger has been upgraded for 2027. An all-weather package with heated front seats, heated mirrors, and a windshield wiper de-icer is standard, and the RS adds blind-spot detection with rear cross-traffic alert and emergency lane keep assist to the EyeSight suite. MySubaru Connected Companion services are included with a five-year trial and cover SOS emergency assistance, advanced collision notification, and vehicle condition checks, while the Companion+ tier, offered on three- or five-year plans, adds remote engine start with climate control, remote lock and unlock, and curfew and boundary alerts. A $2,070 option package adds a 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with a 432-watt equivalent amplifier, a power moonroof, and a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support.
Exterior colors are Crystal Black Silica, Crystal White Pearl, Ice Silver Metallic, Magnetite Gray Metallic, Sapphire Blue Pearl, and Ignition Red, which is new for 2027, with Citron Yellow Pearl premium paint available for $395. The 2027 Impreza is assembled in Gunma, Japan, and is scheduled to reach U.S. retailers in late 2026. The pricing announcement follows Subaru’s confirmation that limited-edition WRX and BRZ models will debut at Boxerfest on September 27.
