McLaren W1 Joins Forza Horizon 6 on September 10

The McLaren W1 is coming to Forza Horizon 6 on September 10 as part of the game’s British Automotive Series update, McLaren announced. The car will be exclusive to players who own the Car Pass DLC and will be added directly to their in-game garages with the update’s latest round of vehicles.

The W1 arrives as a Legendary-tier vehicle alongside the McLaren F1 and McLaren P1, the latter of which served as the cover car for 2013’s Forza Motorsport 5. McLaren says the addition brings its in-game lineup to 13 vehicles, and the W1 joins the Artura as one of two current-production McLarens available to players.

In the real world, the W1 is the third car in McLaren’s “1” lineage, pairing a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with a hybrid system for a combined 1,258 hp (1,275 PS) and 988 lb-ft of torque sent to the rear wheels. Production is limited to 399 units, all of which had been allocated by the time of the car’s October 2024 reveal.
