Subaru of America will again back Carey Lando and Andrea Shaffer at the Rebelle Rally in 2026, with the pair competing as Team 200 in the X-Cross class in a modified 2025 Subaru Forester Hybrid. Lando and Shaffer won X-Cross in the same Forester Hybrid in 2025, taking the first five stages, after winning the class in 2024 in Lando’s personal 2014 Outback. The 2026 rally runs October 7 to 17, launching from Las Vegas Motor Speedway on October 8 and covering more than 1,500 miles across California, Nevada, and Utah over eight competition days, with teams navigating by paper maps, compass, and roadbooks and no GPS or electronic aids.
The Forester Hybrid runs a 3-inch suspension lift using RaceWorks coilovers and RalliTEK adjustable arms, 30-inch Milestar Patagonia A/T Pro tires, underbody protection from Anderson Design & Fabrication, a TORQ locker, Diode Dynamics auxiliary lighting, and recovery equipment. Outside the rally, the car has already run Hell’s Revenge in Moab, Utah, and Black Bear Pass and Imogene Pass in Colorado. The 2026 livery, designed by Lando with B. Stubbs Vinyl & Graphix, combines Lando’s MtnSubi Outback graphics with a classic Subaru stage rally scheme. Lando said the Rebelle rewards preparation, teamwork, and decision-making over outright speed. “We want to show that a hybrid can do hard things too,” she said.
Team 200 has named The Bluebird Fund as its nonprofit beneficiary for the 2026 rally. The organization provides grants supporting safety, development, and participation in motorsports, including programs for women. Coverage of the rally will run through Subaru, MtnSubi, and Rebelle Rally channels, with the event’s live broadcast running October 9 to 16.
