Jeep has revealed the 2027 Wrangler Smoky Mountain special edition at the 14th annual Smoky Mountain Invasion in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, marking the 10th of 12 vehicles in the brand’s Twelve 4 Twelve series. The package is built on the Wrangler Willys platform and is offered only on the four-door body.
Twelve 4 Twelve is a run of 12 limited-edition Wranglers released monthly through the Jeep brand’s 85th anniversary year, beginning with the 2026 Wrangler Moab 392 in November 2025. Drops normally land on the 12th of each month, but Jeep moved this one to August 20 to reveal it in front of the Smoky Mountain Invasion crowd. The event runs August 20 to 22 at the LeConte Center and draws close to 50,000 attendees and 20,000 Jeep vehicles.
Exterior changes include Smoky Mountain hood-side decals, 17-inch smoky black wheels, a gloss black seven-slot grille, and a body-color hardtop and fender flares, with the Sky One-Touch power top available. The edition runs 33-inch BFGoodrich KO2 all-terrain tires as standard with 35-inch tires optional. Standard hardware includes steel rock rails, Dana 44 front and rear axles, a locking rear differential, a 4.10 axle ratio, and a trailer hitch.
Inside, the edition uses premium black Ferndale cloth seats with embossed texture and deeper side bolsters in Black Soulmate, with the upper bolsters embossed with a 1941 Willys parachute graphic tied to the Twelve 4 Twelve drop concept. The instrument panel is wrapped in an Addax technical pattern, with Terracotta accent stitching, metallic Blaze Orange accents, and anodized carbon trim rings in a smoked finish. A rear swing gate plaque carries the parachute graphic against a night sky motif, and the shifter medallion in gray metallic and satin chrome features a mama bear and cub. Heated seats, a heated steering wheel, dual zone automatic climate control, and a universal garage door opener are all standard.
Orders are open now, with the package available on four-door Wranglers fitted with either the 2.0-liter or 3.6-liter engine, both with automatic transmissions. Jeep says the Smoky Mountain edition is priced $80 above a comparably equipped Wrangler Willys.
