Gunther Werks has announced the Brundle Edition Turbo, a five-car run of its 993-based Turbo developed with former Formula 1 driver and 1990 Le Mans winner Martin Brundle and designed by his daughter, Charlie Brundle, whose background includes design work at McLaren Automotive, Aston Martin, and Jaguar Land Rover. The car will make its public debut at the Concours at Wynn Las Vegas, which runs October 29 through November 1 at the Wynn Golf Club.
The Brundle Edition uses the Gunther Werks Turbo platform’s air-cooled 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, here calibrated for high-octane fuel and rated at 860 hp and 610 lb-ft, 10 hp and 10 lb-ft above the standard Turbo’s published figures. It runs a six-speed manual, Gunther Werks’ double-wishbone suspension, and Sport and Track chassis calibrations that Gunther Werks says were refined with Martin Brundle’s input. An adjustable high-downforce rear wing, front canards, and a Brembo CCMR carbon-ceramic brake package with forged billet calipers are included.

Charlie Brundle’s exterior is a hand-painted two-tone pearl livery based on her father’s helmet design, with personal references worked into the exterior and interior. The livery carries into the seat upholstery, and a seat bolster label references the colors of the Grand Prix cars he drove. The dash carries his quote, “The most important bit of the car is the nut holding the steering wheel,” along with his helmet insignia, hand-signed dashboard end plates, and an MB monogram embossed into the headrests. Exterior details include smoked front LED indicators and a smoked taillight package, one-off forged magnesium wheels etched with Brundle branding, Brundle Edition decklid lettering and door sills, and a one-off key. Each car comes with a Bell HP77 F1-homologated helmet painted in the matching livery and signed by Martin Brundle. Pricing was not announced, and details are at guntherwerks.com.
