Willow Springs International Raceway has announced a partnership with the Goodwood Road Racing Club of America, marking Goodwood’s first presence in the United States. The GRRC of America will launch in California in 2027, and its inaugural headline event is scheduled for Willow Springs in the fall of 2028, planned as a recurring event at the circuit.
The club extends the Goodwood Road Racing Club, best known for the Goodwood Festival of Speed, Goodwood Revival and Members’ Meeting in England, to the United States, and will offer members access to Goodwood’s events in the UK along with a new calendar of American experiences. The organization launches with three founding patrons: three-time Formula 1 world champion Sir Jackie Stewart, Indy 500 winner and Formula 1 world champion Mario Andretti, and NASCAR icon Richard Petty. Willow Springs, the oldest permanent road course in the United States, will serve as the club’s American home venue.
“We’ve aspired to bring the Goodwood spirit to the United States for a long time, so this serves as a defining moment for us,” said Charles Richmond, Duke of Richmond and Gordon, adding that the club aims to honor American automotive history starting from California. Sam Byrne, co-founder of CrossHarbor Capital Partners, called the partnership “an extraordinary honor and a testament to the significance of this circuit.”
