Tjin Edition Pontiac G8 CST

On July 17th, 2008 Neil Tjin from Tjin Edition received word from General Motors that his company had been selected to build a design a brand new 2009 Pontiac G8 GT for Pontiac. Less then two weeks later the Tjin Edition crew received their brand new 2009 Pontiac G8 GT from Tustin Pontiac in Irvine California. The 2009 G8 GT was handed over to Tjin with less then 10 miles on the odometer.

As soon as the keys hit Neil’s hands he started up this V8 machine and took his brand new Pontiac G8 GT to Unique Fabrication, where Adam Carpenter and his team immediately started to dismantle this brand new car.

The Tjin Edition Pontiac G8 GT will be known as the G8 CST (In honor of Neil and Mei’s first baby boy Collin Samuel Tjin) and will be debuting at the 2008 SEMA show. With less than 10 weeks to get this project completed, the guys wasted no time in tearing the G8 CST apart.

For part one of the build-up the guys from Unique Fabrication took out the interior, fabricated their signature all metal custom wing, test fitted the Eibach springs and Corvette Z06 brakes, raised the shock towers, and took measurements for the custom 20″ One Lug Wheels.

Some of the highlights that will be incorporated into this project include a complete custom paint job, silver leaf accents, pin stripping, metal rear wing, custom mesh grilles, custom 20×9.5″and 20×10.5″ 6 and 7-spoke One Lug Wheels matched up to 245/35/20 & 285/30/20 Dunlop tires, Corvette Z06 big brakes, raised shock towers and Eibach springs, fully rewrapped interior, GlowShift gauges, Focal audio, Ignited Performance headlight and fog light HID’s, ProCharger supercharger, American Racing headers and x-pipe, custom exhaust and intake manifold, and much more.
