Black Bomber S14

Flying under the radar and producing plenty of power were the main traits of a Black Bomber fighter. This S14 that we were able to capture carries those same traits, having plenty of power with stylish exterior modifications that doesn’t exactly make it scream to the general, unsuspecting public. The exterior has been decked out with an Origin Lab Stylish full body kit including Origin Lab’s 20mm front fenders. The rear fenders were rolled to make way for an aggressive set of 18×9.5 +12 offset Work Emotion CR Kai wheels in a gloss black finish. The wheels are accented with Work red lug nuts, valve stems and stickers. The rest of the exterior has been finished off with JDM Silvia Kouki’s goods: wing, grill and turn signal lamps.

Under the hood, giving this black bomber plenty of power is a S14 Black Top SR20DET engine swap. GReddy’s entire catalog of go fast goods was then bolted on; including a GReddy V-SPL front mount intercooler, 3-inch downpipe, hot pipe, pulley kit, Airinx air filter and 1.2mm head gasket. Controlling boost and ensuring that the motor is at a reasonable temperature prior to shutting off is GReddy’s PRofec-B boost controller and turbo timer. Handling the rest of the exhaust on this S14 is a 3-inch test pipe that leads out of a 3-inch A’PEXi N1 exhaust system. Cooling has been upgraded with a Koyo aluminum radiator and Flex-A-Lite dual fans. The necessities for any SR20DET swap are also present, the Walbro 255lph fuel pump and HKS SSQV blow off valve.

Behind each of the aggressive Work Emotion CR Kai wheels gleams 300ZX Twin Turbo calipers and Brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors. The S14 has been lowered with Eibach Sportline springs. The interior of the S14 has been kept mild, with a series of Autometer gauges, carbon fiber inserts and a Nismo GT shift knob. The stock steering wheel has been swapped out for its JDM counter part.

This S14 doesn’t scream “look at me!” but it definitely screams tearing up the streets. Its exterior modifications have been kept subtle but refined. We could argue that this is one of the best street S14s we’ve featured on Tunerzine!
