Having previously owned an Infiniti G35 Coupe myself, I knew exactly how great and complete of a vehicle it is from the factory. I know I personally had a hard time going through the new aftermarket goodies that were being offered and choosing a route to take when building my G35. Jason Campbell purchased a 2003 G35 in a Caribbean Blue Pearl shade and started on his own journey in choosing which way to build his car. It’s almost without argument that his G35 has already become a show stopper, but what people don’t realize is the potency of the force induced VQ that purrs underneath the hood.

Beginning with the engine modifications, 280bhp just wasn’t enough for Campbell. Jason decided that he wanted more low end torque along with reliable high horsepower. Through this mathematical equation he came to the conclusion that the ATI Procharger Supercharger kit would be the best for his build. Cooling the new method of force induced air is an ATI front mount intercooler kit. Already achieving close to 400hp with the supercharger kit at 10psi, Jason also went with a NX Express Ntercooler kit to further cool the pressurized boost. The grounding wires had easily become a popular mod for the VQ engines, and Jason decided to install a Sun Auto Earthing Kit on his G35 in a matching shade of blue. Nismo amenities - oil cap and radiator cap - can be seen in the engine bay gleaming closely with the polished supercharger. A B&M Racing short shifter was the finishing touch to the drivetrain to make every pressurized shift a breeze.

On the exterior, the stylish lines of the G35 are attractive enough. Jason swapped out the amber corner lenses for a set of JDM clear bumper ones, and while digging through the front end he removed the stock grille for a JDM Nissan Skyline one. The rear Infiniti badges were removed and in exchange are authentic Nissan Skyline 350GT badges. Opening up the doors and taking a step into the interior, the continuation of a JDM Skyline transformation is prevalent. The stock gauge cluster now shares a similar white shade of that on the Skyline V35 thanks to a Nismo white gauge face cluster. The stock leather shift knob was unscrewed and removed to make way for a Nismo titanium unit. More Skyline matching goodies were then installed, as the stock door sill plates were popped off and Skyline ones took their place. The entire interior was then redone by Superior Auto Trim with a custom alcantara fabric. Scraping the leather seats for Recaro Speed front seats and rear seats, the rest of the interior was wrapped in the alcantara fabric to match. Accenting certain areas of the interior is an exterior matching blue trim.
Now one of the beauties of the G35 is the ease of fitting ridiculously wide wheels sporting massive lips thanks to a comfortable offset application. Veilside Andrew Racing Evolution V 3-piece wheels glimmer on every corner of this lowered G35. Did I say lowered? I meant on the ground - all due to an Air Ride Technologies Ride Pro e System. The Veilside wheels are dipped in a chrome finish with a matching high polished lip. 19x9 and 19x10.5 can be seen in the front and rear respectively, with all four wheels wrapped with Toyo T1S rubber. The standard 245/35/19 and 275/30/19 fitment is seen on this G35.

With over 400hp on tap and rolling down the street on 19’s, Jason’s finishing touch to this G35 creation is a set of Stoptech 13.1" brake upgrade for the front and the rear. Most recently the calipers were color matched to the exterior shade of blue, but we’ll have to grab that another time. This is merely the beginning of Jason’s buildup as he has a longer list of coming soon goodies. We will definitely have to get back with him when he declares his project complete, but we all know how that goes too.
