All New www.nittosciontc.com Launched

Ever wondered what it’s like trying to build a car for SEMA with a tight deadline? How about breaking a world record for horsepower? Or best of all, what it takes to campaign a full drag car nationwide and compete for a championship? Well, now you have a chance to explore all three of these tasks up close and personal with famed racer and Scion builder, Kenny Tran of Jotech Motorsports.

Head on over to www.nittosciontc.com today to take a look into three very different builds. Renowned engine tuner, Kenny Tran, is trying to build three very different projects on a tight deadline while managing his own shop and a race team. The website is split up into three different projects, Show Stopper, Record Breaking Power and Points Race.

Starting with the Show Stopper feature, we take a look at an all new Scion xB that was stock when it rolled into Jotech’s facility. It left completely transformed for the SEMA show floor. Kenny Tran and his team of experts at Jotech Motorsports reworked every aspect of this xB in a tight timeframe to make it to the 2007 SEMA Show. The brand new xB took on a shape of its own with a completely new body kit, wide body and turbo setup. Since the new xB uses the same engine platform as the Scion tC, the motor setup was no stranger to the Jotech Motorsports team. With the assistance of their sponsors including Nitto Tires, the team worked night and day all the way up until the car left for the show. Check o ut three episodes of the buildup as they go through it step by step!

The Record Breaker features a turbocharged Scion tC that Nitto teamed up with Jotech Motorsports to build. As Kenny Tran himself said, “Nitto gave me a real good opportunity, gave me the car to fix it up and challenge me.” For those that might recognize it, this tC was the one that reached over 500hp and was one of the first high horsepower tCs out there from two years ago. Nitto Tires and Jotech Motorsports decided to go back to the project for the 2007 SEMA Show and raise the horsepower figure to a massive and overwhelming 739hp. Over three episodes on www.nittosciontc.com, Kenny Tran and his team goes over all the changes that needed to be done to achieve this goal.

The last feature on this impressive website is taking a look at the Quaker State, Nitto Tires sponsored Scion tC drag car. As the season comes down to an end, Kenny Tran and his team at Jotech Motorsports decided to do some changes to their drag car in anticipation of capturing the NHRA Sport Compact Hot Rod championship. Check out three very in depth clips on this website as they go through engine rebuilds and tries to hit the 7 second mark!
