The tried and true Nissan Z series never seems to let us down. The affordable price, sleek styling, and performance that trademarked the 1970 240Z is still apparent today in the newer 350Zs. The rise of the tuner era makes the Z series a perfect culprit for any car enthusiast. This 2004 350Z packs a powerful punch of style and power. If cars could mate, this 350Z would be the lovechild of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Noone can disagree that the ING’s body kit is sexy and clean, and most certainly noone can disagree that 550 rear wheel street driven horsepower doesn’t evoke envy into any power hungry guru.
Forged Internals is the name of the game for this VQ35. In order to safely bump the power to 500+ on pump gas then a full engine overhaul was in order. The GReddy Twin Turbo Kit dumps plenty of air through the painstakingly built engine. Ported heads, JWT cams and springs, Pauter Forged rods, Arias 9.0:1 forged pistons, ARP studs, and a Crawford Plenum keep this engine in rock solid condition. While a Walbro 255 fuel pump, AAM Fuel System, RC 550CC injectors, and Innovate Motorsports Wideband take care of providing the beast with loads of fuel. The only clue from the exterior that this 350Z throws down serious horsepower is a Greddy FMIC shining through the front bumper and a Evo II dual exhaust poking out the rear.
No true tuner car would be complete without a track proven suspension. Underneath the 19″ Volk GT-C wheels lies a set of Tein Flex coilovers equipped with EDFC. A 350Z isn’t exactly a featherweight, which is why the brake pedal is attached to a 14″ Wilwood brake kit. Hotchkis swaybars keep body roll to a minimum when corners are taken at double the suggested speed… and in this 350Z, hitting those type of speeds is nothing but a blip of the throttle away.
