Always in the search for something above and beyond the norm, tunerZine.com finally spotted this S13 coupe in a convertible style. Hardly believing our eyes at this point, the Silvia front-ended baby was also covered in a shade not common to our eyes: a violet’ish pink. We just couldn’t stop there so we took a closer look at what maybe one of the most unique S13’s out there.
As mentioned before, the front end is more similar to fans of the Japanese S13 Silvia models. Coming from Japan as well was a full 4-piece Vertex body kit that helps extend the body lines of the coupe chassis. The front and rear fenders were widened 30 mm and 70 mm respectively. The unique rear spoiler comes from Bwave and the taillights that are reminiscent of a 2G Integra are from Flash. Looking for a color that wasn’t common at all, owner Ron went through several shades of paint on this chassis before resting on this custom pink with silver pearl finish.
Currently Ron is awaiting his SR20DET swap, but to hold him over is a ZEX nitrous kit on his dual cam KA motor. His in and out consists of a GReddy Airinx intake system and an HKS Hi-Power exhaust. In the interior, Recaro front seats were recovered in tweed along with the rear seats and door panels. Matching the exterior shade of pink are M&E pink harnesses and GReddy harness pads. Several electronics adorn in the interior as well, including an APEXi S-AFC and APEXi Rev Speed meter.
Ron’s got plenty of stereo power in the trunk as well, including three 10″ subwoofers in a custom fiberglass box. The car is lowered on a set of TEIN springs with Tokico shocks with the entire package sitting perfectly on a staggered set of Bryal Daytona wheels. 18×9 in the front and 18×10 in the rear, the 265/40/18 Falken tires help fill up the newly widened fenders.
We can’t wait for a nice front mount to fill up that Vertex front bumper, but for now Ron has already built one hell of an S13 coupe and has the rareness of the convertibility to boot. We’ll have to stay in touch and see what’s coming up next for this Supastar!
