The AE86 is one of those universal cars that everyone can look at and admire, if not appreciate. With plenty of history involved with the chassis, AE86 fanatics and enthusiasts all over the world still stay committed to the nearly decade old chassis. Dubbed the Hachi-Roku in Japan and made famous by drifting and anime shows such as Initial D, the AE86 craze has long invaded the stateside. This beautiful AE86 built by the fanatics at Silkroad shows that even though the chassis is outdated, the tuning scene is far from it.
Built to showcase their own product line, Silkroad equipped this AE86 with all of their suspension goods including full coilover suspension, pan hard rods, rear lateral rods, front triangle strut bar, front lower control arms, and roll center adjusters. The AE86 chassis is celebrated as one of the most fun and best handling cars out there due to its weight. All the Silkroad suspension components help enhance that impression, but several more pieces help fine tune it: JIC pillow tension rods, TRD LSD, and Tanabe sway bars.
The chassis itself has been buttoned up with a 6-point roll cage from Cusco and an Intec 4-point rear C-Pillar bar. All of those suspension goods mean nothing without a potent power plant underneath the hood however. An AE111 20-valve engine with factory individual throttle bodies greets the eye when the hood is popped. With plenty of go-fast goods including Toda 264 cams, TRD exhaust manifold and Revolver full titanium exhaust, this AE86 packs a huge punch along with its suspension brethren.

On the exterior plenty of classic AE86 pieces enhance the craze this car builds. Kouki front and rear bumpers along with 15×7 SSR Dori Dori wheels make this car as classic and traditional as it gets. The fresh orange paint job just tops everything off and makes it a perfect fit to our tunerZine shade.
The mod list goes on and on as the guys at Silkroad just never knew when to stop. Check out the shots and take in a deep breath of a freshly built AE86.
