Resident webmaster Donny Mak is as passionate for Euros as they get. He himself occupies two Audis, one as a daily driver and the other that just dominates the show circuit. We decided to do a nice shoot of Donny’s daily driver to once again show off something simple that just rocks hard on the streets.
Starting off with a 2001 TT Quattro, Donny decided to make it a tad different than everything on the streets. At the same time, he was building a widebody A4 so all his funds were getting deposited into that vehicle. So on a tighter budget, Donny stripped the car out and got it redone in a bright yellow shade from the Ferrari. The FLYTT he calls it, not because it’s FLY but because it’s Ferrari Light Yellow. Under the hood, the 225hp has been bumped up just a notch thanks to a K&N filter and a custom catback exhaust with no mufflers. Additional boost and fuel is fed into the TT thanks to an APR chip upgrade.
In addition to the new paint, Donny knew that wheels were a definite to stand apart from the crowd. 19×8 BBS LM wheels can be seen on all four corners, sitting snug on the fenders thanks to Eibach springs. The BBS’s are wrapped with BFGoodrich g-Force T/A tires for ultimate traction. Taking a seat inside the snug interior of the TT, you’ll definitely notice the Stack gauge in a custom carbon fiber surround. The extremely trick mod to the entire package is the V1 radar detector that’s in a custom carbon fiber mount. You just have to see it to believe it. Last but not least, daily driving with a little bass in the trunk is outputted by a 10″ Infinity subwoofer.
Simple, but as Donny said it’s just a daily driver. I know many people that would be begging to daily drive this car, right Donny?
