Unfortunately for us, rain put a dampen on what should have been an exciting weekend of racing. Not only did it spoil the trip for racers that traveled miles and miles to get their cars on the track for the first time this season, it ruined it for us photographers that normally would be enjoying some great opportunities at photos of cars burning it on the 1320. Nonetheless, we got what we could and we promise we’ll be on the tour for more this year!
YOParts.com has started huge support for the drag racing scene within the sport compact industry. We can’t thank them enough to offering not only support to the racers, but to the race series as well. Here we see Prayoonto Racing’s Sport FWD Integra driven by Jonathan Reynolds receiving a full make over for 2008. The front end is one of the nicest pieces we’ve ever seen for the DC2 and we just absolutely love the graphics.
Our feature model and resident Tunerzine friend, Jessica Barton, took her Supra up to the event as well, but clearly saw no track time. For those that don’t realize, her Titan Motorsports built Supra is raced on a weekly basis by Jessica herself. She’s been well into the 9’s and looking to go even faster.

One of the most highly anticipated 350Zs to hit the track is Injected Performance’s. Their unique lime green shade along with the swap that lurks underneath was seen throughout our HIN coverage last year and the year before. We were excited to spot it at Commerce but once again disappointed that we couldn’t see it in action.
NOPI Drift continues to brand alongside their drag events. This weekend wasn’t a great weekend to see anything, but it was nice to see some of the more grassroots drift cars without hundreds of main sponsors littered up on their cars. Overall we just can’t wait for the season to really get on its way.
