Eibach is back again! Ryan (Vtecvoodoo), Matt (Rodrez), and Ben (Stunnaben) brought the walls down with another killer meet planned 100% on the internet forums. For the 4th straight year, Eibach of North America has opened its doors to the largest Honda/Acura only meet in the country. This year was such a success from both the standpoint of planning the meet and from the standpoint of attending the meet. This year we charged for parking, but in the words of Rodrez “Because we charged for parking this year, many of the disinterested didn’t bother showing up. Yes, this means a smaller meet in general, but the people that did in fact attend, were people that truly wanted to be there. This is probably the most important aspect of the Eibach meet, and the Honda community in general IMO.” In the morning when i rolled out of bed at 5am with only 1 hour of sleep, i knew that this would be a task to make sure this meet goes down as smooth as possible. To my surprise, there were no issues at all, not one, and we parked every single car within 2 hours. Thats over 3 hundred cars parked! Thats record time for our event, compared to last year where we think parking was a nightmare! Last years event had more of a turnout, but thats because we were Honda/Acura only this year, and also because of us charging. One thing i want to hit on is the fact that there was a strong attendance from both out of state people and the nor cal crews as well. Out of state heads came from as far as North Carolina, South Carolina, Ohio, and Florida to check the event. To ask these people all what they thought of the event, they will all have mostly the same type of answer of “simply amazing” put into short words. A few highlights of the day had to be seeing some of the wild cars you see on most of the popular forums in person. Biggest congrats goes to seeing Dave Dunn’s RWD h22 powered Integra in the R&D section of the Eibach building bay. Its a true marvel. Also seeing Danny’s 4door K powered civic from AM7, All of the cars that Redzone brought from Norcal including their 4 door boosted JDM itr and their super clean CTR. My jaw dropped at the sight of the cars as they rolled to my feet for check in. With an event going down with this magnitude, its hard to imagine the So Cal car scene and event list without the Eibach meet in 2008. This is a meet, not a show, and its truly for the enthusiast. We want to bring back the meeting and companionship aspect to the scene. Anyone can go and pay to get into a car show, but to come, walk around, pay as a donation to park, enjoy free pizza that we supply, meet the vendors who you buy from in person, and get to know the people you talk to on forums and see their hard work go down is truly a special occasion and we want to bring that to you every year. Enjoy the pictures and we hope to see you at next years Eibach Meet.
