Toyota has announced pricing for the 2026 GRMN Corolla, a track-focused version of the GR Corolla that starts at $64,360 and arrives in late summer. Production is capped at 730 units globally, built at Toyota Motor Corporation’s Motomachi plant in Japan primarily for North America, Japan, and Australia, and offered in two exclusive paint colors, Zero Gravity and Gravel. The car was developed through testing at the Nürburgring and competition in Japan’s Super Taikyu endurance series under the direction of Morizo, the alter ego of Toyota chairman Akio Toyoda.
The G16E-GTS 1.6-liter turbocharged three-cylinder carries over at 300 hp at 6,500 rpm, with peak torque raised to 302 lb-ft between 3,250 and 4,600 rpm, up from 295 lb-ft in the standard GR Corolla. Toyota says the development team concentrated on the 4,000 to 4,600 rpm range based on analysis of engine use during circuit driving. The GRMN adds an intercooler spray system, a sub-radiator, and the cool-air duct introduced on the 2026 GR Corolla. A close-ratio six-speed intelligent Manual Transmission with rev matching is the only gearbox offered, and the rear seats have been deleted, cutting 66 pounds against the base car for a listed curb weight of 3,219 pounds.
Aerodynamic hardware includes a carbon fiber hood with a duct, carbon fiber front fenders with ducts, carbon fiber front side spoilers, and a carbon fiber rear wing with a five-step angle adjustment mechanism that Toyota tuned in 1-degree increments during Nürburgring testing with professional drivers. The suspension uses exclusive monotube shock absorbers, inverted at the front and upright at the rear, both with internal rebound springs, developed alongside optimized bump-stop characteristics for high-travel surfaces. The car rides on 18-inch matte bronze 10-spoke forged aluminum wheels wrapped in 245/40ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, with 14-inch front ventilated discs and four-piston calipers and 11.7-inch rear discs with two-piston calipers. Toyota also retuned the electric power steering assistance and the GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive torque distribution.
Inside, the two-seat cabin uses semi-bucket seats upholstered in black and red Brin Naub suede and synthetic leather, a flocked instrument panel and front pillar trim, a carbon ornament produced by the Motomachi plant’s carbon division on the passenger side, a dash pad carrying Morizo’s signature, Alumite red accents on the door trim and shift knob, and a GRMN-exclusive serial number plate. An 8-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, and Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 are standard. Every GRMN Corolla also includes a one-year membership to the National Auto Sport Association and a complimentary High Performance Driving Event with instruction.
