When the Scion xB was introduced to the market, its boxlike style raised eyebrows everywhere. With the crazy quickly following the xB, the aftermarket jumped on it like none other. As a project car for RZ Motoring Orlando, they began the process of building their white xB like none other as well.
The entire exterior of the car took on whole new bodylines when the Fabulous body kit was imported, painted and installed. Front bumper, side skirts and rear bumper were all revamped for an all new look. The rear taillights and a carbon fiber rear spoiler were added along with the bB emblems. Up front, the stock hood was scraped for a carbon fiber one as well but most prominently sitting behind the Fabulous front bumper is a huge front mount intercooler. That’s right, this xB is turbocharged!
Popping the lightweight hood, the engine bay reveals a bay of polished goods including a GReddy TF-035HL 14GK turbo kit. The intercooler that fills up the front gap is a GReddy Type-31 VSPL model. Expelling all the fumes from this turbocharged xB is a custom exhaust system leading out to a GReddy G2 muffler. Several Injen engine dress ups finish up the décor in the engine bay.
Bringing the xB to an all new lowered stance is a set of TEIN Super Street Damper coilovers. On all four corners is a set of 19×8.5 Maya DTR wheels. In the interior is a lot of custom fiberglass work housing gauges, a boost controller, a turbo timer and an APEXi S-AFC II. Everything has been match painted to the exterior of the car making it look as if it was meant to be on the car straight from the factory.
Definitely one of the first and hottest xB’s around, this turbocharged Fabulous sporting Scion sets the tone for xB customization nationwide.
