Batlground Engineering is known to build some crazy high horsepower vehicles. From their racing experience in the Supra to drifting a 240SX, the staff at Batlground has touched on a little bit of everything. When this WRX entered their shop, their staff tackled it like any of their other projects. Keeping a mild exterior while making sure everything under the hood performed well above the normal standards. The result is their custom GT30R turbo kit and this WRX is a perfect demonstration of what can be done in keeping people surprised on the streets.
Batlground’s GT30R turbo kit obviously consists of a GT30R turbo, but the rest of their kit was custom pieced together to obtain the performance they seek. A Perrin front mount intercooler kit along with a Perrin blow off valve are just some of the necessities needed to ensure that each time the car engages boost every other component is already anticipating it. An AEM EMS is used to tune the additional fuel supplied by a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, custom 750cc injectors and the Perrin fuel rails. Keeping things stealth is a Borla hush exhaust system. Controlling boost is an APEXi AVC-R unit and ensuring this car lives the life it needs to, a HKS turbo timer count the minutes away cooling down all the circulating oil.
On the exterior a set of TEIN coilovers equipped with an EDFC makes daily driving tons more fun on the AWD monster. 14-inch Wilwood brakes with 6-piston calipers have a new home helping slow down this beast when needed. Some stereo goods also keep the driver and any passengers entertained, but I’m sure you all just want to get to the wonderful photos by Joey Redmond. So without further ado, enjoy!
