Focus Daniel Son

The Ford Focus was without a doubt the answer to the demand for a sport compact domestic. Sporty with a decently equipped price tag, the Focus became a good choice for the sport compact enthusiast. Jerrell Little decided to get himself into a Focus and quickly realize the stock car just wasn’t going to cut it. Reaching out like any enthusiasts would, Jerrell began tossing modifications left and right to turn the Focus into a customized car of his own.

The most notable aspect of the entire Focus would have to be the exterior. Equipped with a custom wide body kit, the front end also received the European WRC treatment with integrated fogs. Wings West side skirts lead out to a European RS rear bumper. More European influenced body modifications include a WRC rally roof scoop and European spec mirrors.

Under the hood, the Focus breathes plenty easier thanks to a KKM intake, Focus Central headers, a modified throttle body and a Revolution exhaust. A set of Ford Racing stage 2 cams were installed for more lower and high end horsepower; tuned with a set of Ford Racing cam gears. Power train weight has been freed up a notch with a Ford Racing underdrive pulley. A Diablosport chip helps tune the new bolt-ons for optimal power.

No widebody or kitted car looks right without correct suspension and a set of wheels and tires to set it off. A set of Intrax springs mated with KYB G2 shocks helps lower the Focus neatly on a set of 18-inch Velox VX-8 wheels. Finished with black spokes and a polished lip, the wheels are wrapped with 215/35 series Nankang tires. A BAT camber kit ensures the tires last as the Focus handles on its edge thanks to an SVT Focus rear sway bar and strut tower brace.

This is just a simple example of what’s out there besides your normal imports and sport compact cars. Jerrell has more plans for this Focus, but with the custom widebody and rally styling already taking precedent, we can’t imagine what’s next.
