All Version EF

In the world of Hondas it’s always a crowning achievement when you build something that is really unique in the crowd. With all the different variations of EGs, EKs and DC2s out there, Tong out of Orlando, Florida decided to build up one of the cleanest EF chassis out there. You think you can argue with us on this one? It’s going to be tough when you run down the mod list and see what all is done to it. This isn’t Tong’s only pride and joy – he’s got a red EG we featured previously that’s K-Series powered. But this EF to us is a much more unique feature.

On the exterior, Tong had one of the best paint and body shops in Orlando to do the body work and re-spray the entire chassis a Porsche 911 Purple. All the body work and paint was done to an immaculate finish. A JDM SiR front end conversion gave the EF chassis a little more of a unique look while cherishing the natural body lines the EF has. Accenting the body is a Charge Speed front lip and rear wing, while a VIS carbon fiber hood lightens the load.

Underneath that lightweight carbon fiber hood is a B18C5 that’s all motor powered. Fully built for high compression and high revv’ing fun, this B18C5 was overhauled on the bottom end with Endyn slugs. In the head is a fresh set of valves from REV while Skunk2 titanium retainers and JUN valve springs ensures no situations occur at high RPMs. Plenty of power is brought on by the JUN stage 4 cams that are easily adjusted by JUN cam gears. If that wasn’t enough, the curious eye can easily spot the TWM 52mm individual throttle bodies. Additional fuel has been added with RC 440cc injectors while the rest of the bolt ons consists of a Spark Racing header and Thermal exhaust. HASPORT gets credit for helping fit the B18C5 in its new home. Tuning the car is a Hondata S-300 that’s been made compatible thanks to an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion harness. Drivetrain wise, the JDM ITR LSD equipped transmission has received an ACT clutch and Fidanza lightened flywheel.

Suspension wise, this EF is dumped the ground with crazy camber thanks to Skunk2. Koni shocks ensures the EF has dampening adjustability while a Cusco front strut bar tightens up the chassis. Speaking of crazy camber, the staggered set of 15-inch Work VS-XX wheels arguably set this EF off from everything else in the Honda world. I mean, just check out the crazy lip in the rear! No 15×6 +42 offsets here, Tong is running a set of 15×6.5 and 15×7 in the rear with an offset we’d just rather not disclose. But be aware that the rear is definitely a single digit! Wrapped with 195/45/15 Toyo T1-S tires, the wheel and tire package on this EF goes a long way.

Braking wise, the EF has received more goods from its Integra brethren in the form of 4 wheel disc brakes. Project mU brake pads have been slotted in and Goodridge stainless steel brake lines ties it all together. Inside the car, a few more JDM goods have found a new home on the stateside. A pair of Bride seats are in the cockpit while a set of Sabelt harnesses and a Safety 21 6-point roll cage designates that this EF isn’t just all for going straight. A JDM ITR gauge cluster along with Mugen speedometer, Nardi steering wheel and Skunk2 shift knob are just a few more goods found in the cockpit.

Arguably one of the cleanest EFs we’ve ever laid eyes on, we were glad to have the chance to shoot this beauty and feature it on tunerZine.com!
