The Parts to Build the Beast
The recipe for success. What does it take to build a piece of machinery that appeals to the masses? Is it a rare vehicle? Is it great fabrication work? Is it a talented crew of individuals that pour their blood, sweat and tears into a project? Is it a unlimited budget? Is it luck? Or is it a little bit of all the above?
What you see here before you is one of the most rare pieces of machinery that we have ever come across in our industry. The Tjin Edition 1998 Nissan R34 Skyline sedan debuted at the 2005 SEMA show and since then it has taken our industry by storm. After seeing the car debut at the SEMA show and on ESPN 2 Import Racers TV show, and then at numerous shows like Import Showoff, Hot Import Nights, Night Shift, and DUB we wanted to find out just what went into building this one of a kind ride. We decided to contact Neil Tjin, owner of this Skyline and president of Tjin Edition and asked him if he would be kind enough to share with us his behind the scene photos and the 411 on what went into building his R34 sedan.
Tjin was kind enough to share with us all his build-up photos and give us a breakdown of some of the parts that were used to build this project.
This is only part one of a five part series that we will be brining you on the build-up of the Tjin Edition Skyline. Once you have seen how the Skyline was built, we will wrap things up with a full feature on the Tjin Edition R34 Skyline sedan. So stay tuned.
