Very hardly do we run into a car that really shakes things up in the industry. Something that’s so different that it’s almost unheard of. But at the same time, this car sets a whole new standard to the industry. It’s something different and it gathers plenty of attention. Best of all, it gives enthusiasts a whole new outlook towards customization and gives new ideas to everyone. This Acura CL Type-S is just that, supercharged through Comptech’s ingenuity and custom wide bodied. Rocking BASF paint on the exterior, this CL made plenty of noise everywhere.
Starting with the custom exterior, the family luxury coupe was transformed when custom widebody fender flares were molded onto the car. An Extreme Dimensions front bumper along with 350Z side skirts were also added onto the body. Ganador power mirrors and a BMW CSL-style molded trunk lid were also installed prior to the BASF Velocity three-stage Red Mica Pearl paint job. Without a doubt this stellar paint shade and body work sets this CL apart from the crowd. With the widebody finished on the exterior, a custom set of DPE R 16 wheels wrapped with Toyo T1S tires were bolted onto the car. 20×8.5 in the front and 20×10 in the rear, it’s almost without question that no other CL in the world has this type of wheel and tire combination. Top it all off with a set of Rotora big brakes equipped with a 4-piston caliper and 14-inch cross drilled and slotted rotors and the exterior of this car is looking perfect.

Underneath the hood, the 3.2L V6 motor received a complete change thanks to the geniuses at Comptech. The CL is now equipped with Comptech’s intake system, stainless steel header, b-pipe, cat back exhaust system and supercharger. Giving the car even more additional horsepower is a 7.5psi high boost pulley upgrade and Nitrous Express’ 75 shot. Accenting the engine bay are also Comptech’s oil cap and polished battery tie down. Additional accessories to the supercharger kit have been added with a Spearco FMIC and HKS BOV.
On the suspension side, TEIN SS coilovers give this CL a show winning stance. Comptech’s front and rear sway bar basically completes every part seen in the catalog. An Eibach strut brace can be seen in the engine bay tightening up the chassis. On the interior, charcoal grey and black Alcantara upholstery takes place everywhere. Suede Recaro Sport seats are in the front along with a MOMO steering wheel and shift knob combination. Sparco race pedals replace the factory ones; while a Lokar dual gauge pod houses a pair of DEFi BF gauges. Additional DEFi gauges have been installed throughout the interior.
This CL reminds us that we should always keep our eyes out for something different and something fresh. We do!
