In our continued support for the NSCRA, Tunerzine.com has started reaching out to NSCRA’s racers to spotlight their beautiful machines that attack the track. We were able to meet up with SIK Creations and Stage 6 with their two Civic EG drag cars. One of them is turbocharged and the other is naturally aspirated. In our two part feature of these “twins”, we’ll start off first with SIK Creations/Stage 6’s Turbo car which can be seen at NSCRA events campaigning in the Phantom Grip Street Outlaw 4-Cylinder class. The unmistakable exterior of this EG sports a Jojo Callos three-piece widebody front end which allows for the 26-inch M&H slicks to fit comfortably. A custom blue/purple based chameleon paint job makes it stand out from the crowd of EGs in the class with the wheels carrying the same paint shade. EK side skirts and a Spoon Sports style rear spoiler round off the exterior mods. Under the hood, this turbo EG pumps out 820 hp and 520 tq @ 38 psi of boost. Stage 6 fabricated the intake and exhaust manifold, downpipe, radiator and intercooler along with the piping. The motor has been sleeved thanks to Golden Eagle and rebuilt using CP 9.0:1 compression pistons and BME aluminum rods. The head has been revamped with Ferrea’s high class valvetrain. IPS KT1 camshafts and a Precision PT-74 turbo is the central core for the 800+ hp being pumped through this system.
Suspension wise, this EG is powered with Omni coilovers in the front and Ken’s Custom Chassis’ solid axle in the rear. A full 10-point roll cage was welded in for safety and to strengthen the chassis while an Ultra Shield race seat with Simpson harness keeps things lightweight and safe. The chameleon theme continues with the interior being repainted with a custom orange-based shade. Make sure to head out to the July 5th NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway to spot this bad ass EG in action.
Stay tuned as Tunerzine.com will be featuring Stage 6‘s All Motor EG shortly.
