Having a modified car in New York isn’t always the easiest of tasks. tunerZine.com spotted this clean older style Subaru, and decided to give it some spotlight reminding others that there’s more Subarus out there than the newer generation models. Starting with the engine mods, this Subaru breathes easier thanks to an ITG full carbon fiber intake. On the exhaust side, a Cobb equal length header to a GReddy EVO 2 exhaust gives the Subaru a much deeper and sportier tone. Giving the motor some extra top end power is a set of Cobb street performance spec camshafts as well. All of this has been retuned with a Proecm Powerchip.
Even though the car rests on stock wheels, its handling has been enhanced tenfold with a set of TEIN HA coilovers. The coilovers can’t take all the credit however for making this Subaru handle on its rails; a Whiteline rear sway bar and a pair of Cusco strut bars buckle down the chassis. With wheels around the corner, an STI Version 5 spoiler was added to the trunk for a subtle exterior modification. Braking has also been upgraded a tad with a set of Brembo rotors and Goodridge brake lines.

On the inside, Recaro SPG seats found their new home giving the driver something comfortable to sit in. Sabelt 5pt harnesses buckles him in as a Kartboy short shifter gets abused from first to fifth gear. A set of custom HID’s light up the streets as the interior cabin of this Subaru gets filled thanks to some goods from MB Quart and Rockford Fosgate.
There’s more to come with this Subaru, but we wanted to keep our eyes on it now. Stay tuned!
