A Perfect 10

Joe Galante is no stranger to building cars. Having once built a Supra that graced the cover of Super Street, it’s no surprise that his current project is one that really garners attention. Sure he’s a lucky guy to be starting with a Skyline R34 GT-R, but getting the car itself is no easy task. As nice as the car is in its stock form, we all know there’s room for improvement on any car. Galante built this GT-R on this premise – that there is always room for improvement in all aspects.

Most noticeable is the exterior of the vehicle. Keeping it slightly conservative without any major body modifications, Galante outfitted the car with goods from Top Secret, in the form of a front bumper, front and rear rear carbon fiber diffuser, Vortex Generators and carbon fiber hood. C-West side skirts and carbon fiber JGTC mirrors from Craft Square accent the side of the vehicle while a MINES carbon trunk spoiler is the perfect finishing touch. Topping it all off is a beautiful paint job by Bel-Red Auto: the exterior of the GT-R now sports a PPG Candy Grey Exterior.

A Perfect 10

The process of developing ample amounts of horsepower for the street is currently under development. As fun as the RB26 may be from the factory, plenty of changes are available to really reap in the benefits of such a powerplant. Galante has a GReddy 2.7L stroker kit along with a T-618Z twin turbo upgrade ahead for the car. Though much of this is still in the works, we couldn’t help but feature the car as it stood right now – especially before anyone else could get their hands on it. Check out the spec sheet to see what is planned for this RB26, as for now we’d like to concentrate on everything else that’s done to the car.

Along with the beautiful aesthetic modifications, a car’s set of wheels can make or break the complete package. Galante’s GT-R got the perfect finishing touch with a massive set of 19×11-inch HRE C20 Competition Series wheels. Equipped with a polished lip and brushed aluminum clear coat centers, these wheels make this car a rolling work of art. Pirelli PZERO Rosso tires can almost always been seen on this car as it’s built for the street. Believe it or not folks, this car is registered and driven!

A Perfect 10

While taking a look at the wheels, it’s hard not to notice the massive brakes on the car. With gigantic rotors and equally powerful calipers, this GT-R has no problems stopping at its earliest convenience. Giving the car the ride height Galante desires, a set of TEIN Super Racing coilovers with a remote reservoir were installed. Not only are these height adjustable, the additional dampening adjustability makes this GT-R the perfect car on the road and track.

The interior has been refinished with plenty of carbon fiber goods. Sitting up front are none other than a pair of STATUS RACING SPA carbon adjustable seats. MOMO and NISMO interior decorations can also be seen, including a MOMO steering wheel, NISMO shift knob and gauge cluster.
