The 31st Annual Motorama Indoor Races and Show returned to the Harrisburg Farm Show Complex, Saturday February 21st, and Sunday February 22nd, 2009.
The 2-day show saw a record setting attendance at the 30 acre enclosed ground complex which featured Arenacross, Tunerwar Import Car Show,
Quarter Midget racing, Go-Kart racing, Robot Conflict, Remote Control Competition, an Elite Rod and Custom Show, a Spina Bifida Charity Auction, and the Ms Motorama Pageant.
The Saturday only showing of the Tunerwar Import Car Show brought wall-to-wall spectators to the Expo Hall as 220 modern vehicles were on display.
The 200 plus show cars were ready to battle as part of the F4 Challenge. This was the second event of the year for the F4 Challenge and many of the heavy hitters came out to battle.
Dave Harry and his incredible Nissan 240sx were the talk of the show, and his New Image team members had some of the hottest cars on display. The entire stable of New Image cars were impressive, and speaking of other impressive cars, Andy Goodman from the F4 had his stable of cars on display, which included his RHD FTO, Vortech supercharged Ford Mustang, and his latest creation a Dodge Challenger. Andy wasn’t the only guy with his cars on display, as our long time friend Brian Fox had his gorgeous IS-F and Ford Focus on display in the Tuner Evolution booth.
Also making an appearance at the event was Aaron Vaccar and his ultra clean Subra WRX, make sure to keep an eye out for this builders as he is making a serious name for himself within the industry.
The Tunerwar show also kicked off the GlowShift Presents the 2009 Tjin Edition Tour, which we will be following closely this year here on Tunerzine. The Tjin Edition team, led by Dave Lightner and Juliet Parrish, had the newly wrapped trailer as the back drop for their 60×30 booth which was located right by the main entrance. Featured inside the booth was the one and only Nissan R34 Skyline Sedan, the Tjin Edition Chevy Cobalt SS, Dave’s Dodge Challenger and a wicked black on black NISMO Nissan 350z.
A Free Cycle Live Show, F4 Challenge Car Show, Bikini Contest, Anti-Team Motorcycle Stunt Team, an appearance by BMX Master and U.S. Trials Champion Mike Steidley, and a live concert featuring Planeside and The Mercurial kept fans busy for hours.
The dates are set for the 32nd Annual Motorama Indoor Races and Show. Mark your calendars for February 20th and February 21st, 2010.
