tZ: First off, could you tell us who you are and a little background info about yourself?

Matt: Well, My Name is Matt VanWie and I own and run one-fab out of Austin, Texas. I’ve lived here my entire life and I’ve been working on cars since I can remember.

tZ: When did you start One-Fab and what are your goals with the company?

Matt: I started One-Fab early last year after working for numerous other people and wanting to produce my own ideas that no own else thought much of. Overall id like to continue developing new parts and products to offer to the entire motorsports community

tZ: Do you have any new products going into production that the spo-com world should be aware of?

Matt: We are always coming up with new products for new and current vehicles as the market Grows and shifts to New interests. Right now We are trying to Finish up our New Evo 8 turbo kits to possibly offer something for what seems to be a lack of cars that produce big power in the EVo world theone4thisone: On top of that, there is generally... theone4thisone: numerous projects going on that we develope new products on that get us really excited about

tZ: Do you plan on branching off into products for other makers other than Honda and Mitsubishis?

Matt: Eventually I would love to offer something off-the-shelf for the majority of the popular cars people have interest in. We have been working on a twin turbo z06 kit for some time now with the possibility of doing a Dodge Viper setup at some point. Other than that We constantly get tons of interest for all the others cars out there. Soon we will have setups for some of the popular Nissans and Toyotas.

tZ: So tell me about your civic coupe. ( what motor are you using and a quick rundown of the most important parts on the car).

Matt: The civic is my personal car That up until this year I was driving Daily. The car has a completely stock internal h22 prelude motor. We run one of our new top mount Tubular manifolds with a full T4 Precision gt3767 and a Custom 4" downpipe. The intake side of the turbo setup includes full 3" intercooler piping, a Greddy Blow-off valve and a Yonaka Large core intercooler. The fuel system consists of 1000cc precision injectors, fast-turbo.com fuel line setup and a Wal-Mart intake fuel pump The car was tuned by Jason "st00pid" herrara on Neptune to keep the stock motor together under the power we are making. We recently made 536 whp and 400 ft lbs of tq on autologics dyno in Houston. The car is also on a completely stock drivetrain other than the omni power drag coilovers and adjustable upper control arms.
tZ: You seem to be improving upon your ¼ mile times at every race, what are your goals for this year as far as your E.T. is concerned?

Matt: Well lately we have been slowly working out bugs and getting the car to run good at all the Different Races in different conditions. For now my goal is to get the car running Concisely high tens on the stock motor. Later in the year when we get some seat time and the car is running consistently We will move get the built motor in the car and work on getting the car into the low tens theone4thisone: We will get the built motor in the car and work on getting the car into the low tens*

tZ: What other events do you plan on attending this season?

Matt: right now the NDRA races are my only interest and We have made plans to attend a good 8 races out of the season as well as many of the local races That go on here in Texas

tZ: Do you see yourself as a contender in the points race since you will be making so many events or is this season more about getting the car dialed in and getting used to all the traveling?

Matt: It would be nice to see myself doing well in the points race, but at this point I cant Ask for much more than just getting the car dialed and having fun. Its alot of work Getting the car to the races and running well that right now I have to devote my energy to those things so I don’t get wrapped up in the wrong things and end up not having fun.
tZ: I'd say that’s a really good attitude to have about it. You should definitely have fun while you're racing. Do you have any sponsors or anybody you would like to thank for there help and support?

Matt: Id like to first thank my family for putting up with me and supporting me, if wasn’t for them letting me tear up the house working on cars when I was young, id probably would have been out doing things I shouldn’t have. All the other people who have given me tons of help and support include Jason Herrera and Shami for their interest and help with the car, Brad from autologic, Stan from Fast-turbo.com, Willie from streetrays.com, My Grandpa for keeping me around cars since I was two years old, Russell Athens, Josh Johnson, Kristi Simpson, Arturbo Ortiz, Everyone on Honda-tech, M and H tires, Overrev Magazine, anyone else I might have forgotten and of course Tunerzine

tZ: Alright Matt, thanks for your time and I’m sure I’ll be seeing you at the races. Good luck with the rest of your season!

Matt: No problem, thank you! See you soon.
