The Nissan Skyline. To most of us on the stateside it’s a mythical animal that many have seen, few have touched and far less have driven. But for the lucky few somewhere else in this world that’s blessed with the opportunity to own an R34 Skyline GT-R, we appreciate the opportunity to be able to showcase it. Nathan Wilson is a 30-year-old Programmer all the way out in Australia and Chris Fatseas is the honorary photographer that was able to do such a splendid job capturing this beauty. Fatseas is an up and coming photographer that believes in no standard out in Australia and will be published soon in a local publication. We are truly thankful that Fatseas was able to share with us the coverage of this Skyline R34 GT-R.

On the exterior the subtle and already aggressive lines of the R34 was accented with a carbon fiber Z-Tune style hood to contrast the white shade of the exterior. The stock rear spoiler was raised on JUN wing stands while the V-Spec II rear carbon diffuser completes the aggressive look. On each corner can be seen 18x9.5 Advan RG wheels wrapped with none other than 265/35/18 Advan Neova AD07 tires. Plenty of sticky for Wilson to get around in the land down under.

Braking duties have been further reinforced with the addition of Grex 6 piston front calipers with 355mm rotors while the rear are equipped with 4 piston calipers and 330mm rotors. Grex brake pads complete the stopping package. Giving the Skyline a more aggressive and lowered stance along with stiffer spring rates and a handling capability that rivals many is a set of TEIN Super Street coilovers, equipped with an EDFC for easy in car dampening control. Cusco front and rear roll bars keeps the car balanced while Ikeya Formula equips the rest of the suspension with their catalog of goods: front tension rods, front lower camber arms, rear lower control arms, rear traction rods and rear upper camber arms.
Now to the rear bread and butter and one of the main reasons to even own a Skyline R34 – the powertrain. The RB26 motor has been completely revamped by Godzilla Motorsport with a whole new revamped long block. Godzilla Motorsport equipped the car with their spec treated block equipped with Mahle Pro Series 86.5mm pistons and Crower rods. They then ported and polished the head and installed Trust Type B valve springs and HKS 264 camshafts. A Tomei 1.2mm head gasket has been sandwiched in between and from there the enhancements continued. Trust’s massive front mount intercooler can be seen along with additional cooling components from PWR. Plenty of fuel has been added to the system with 2 044 Bosch external pumps and SARD 800cc injectors residing comfortably in a SARD twin entry fuel rail. Tuning has been handled with A’PEXi’s Power FC D-Jetro version and with the aid of a Blitz I-Color boost controller this Skyline sings to the tune of 500whp. Wilson has found this number to be perfectly ideal for daily driving while offering tons of fun and keeping the Skyline completely reliable.

The last of the upgrades worth mentioning is the NPC twin plate clutch and OS Giken push/pull converter in the drivetrain. Wilson has kept things simple in the interior, upgrading the stock shift knob to a Nismo titanium piece and adding Willans’ 4 point harnesses to the package. An Alpine head unit and a Nismo speedometer/tachometer round off the minor amenities in the interior.

While we personally weren’t fortunate enough to ride in this Skyline R34 GT-R, we can only imagine what a blast Fatseas must have had shooting it. Here’s to hoping the GT-R that we do get on the Stateside will be just as fun!
