Sometimes, simple is the best recipe. There is an age old methodology, that uses an acronym to state this K.I.S.S. (keep it simple stupid). This theory applies here, better than just about any other example I have ever seen. Clean and understated would be two words best suited to a build like this. Argie Carlos started with a 2000 model year Acura Integra, and slowly but surely transformed it, as closely as possible into a 2000 model year Honda Integra. Now there are going to be some purists out there screaming that it isn’t a Honda unless it’s RHD and had been built for somewhere along the pacific rim, or Europe, and they’d be right, however this car is a seriously clean example of crossing cultures for a drivable machine.

Obvious refinements start on the outside of this ride. Deciding to draw on some old school tricks from hot rodders and mini truckers, Argie has the body of his car completely shaved, including but not limited to the side mouldings, and antennae. Then he sourced a JDM Integra front end assembly, for a cleaner, and unique look with the one piece headlights instead of the typical "4 rounds" seen here in North America. Then he had the entire car resprayed in a bright Apline white.

The JDM/ITR theme carried on in a big on the inside of things. Replacing the stock units are a JDM ITR gauge cluster, climate control, clock, door switches, carpet, cup holder, ashtray and cigarette lighter, airbag block off tray all sourced from it’s venerable brethren, the Integra type R. Also of note on the inside of the car are a Spoon shift knob, Autotech steering wheel with a Nar-Spec quick release. Keeping Argie planted during whatever spirited driving he decides to do; are a set of Bride Brix seats, and Takata harnesses. Again working with the LISS method, Argie decided that Honda engineers know best, and went with a stock ITR CD player, and speakers.
Argie decided next to work on keeping the Integra pointed in whatever direction he chooses. The suspension on this Integra keep up with the simple theme, and yet is equally as effective as the rest of the car is. Keeping with the stock is best idea Argie went with ITR strut bars. He then turned to the folks at Megan Racing for their lower tie bar, C-pillar bar, B-pillar bar. JDM 96 ITR Spec suspension (4x114.3) is what suspends this fine example from the road

As far as driveline and powertrain enhancements, this car is as simple as it comes utilizing a DC short shifter, AEM intake, Apexi N1 exhaust Argies car makes good use of the power he has, and yet still maintains a really streetable attitude.

Sometimes we get in a little over our heads when it comes to modifying our cars. People like Argie are out there keeping it clean and simple and reminding the rest of us, that sometimes less is more.
