With the entire JDM craze on the Integras, it’s always nice to see someone still representing the USDM "bug eye" look. Cory out in Florida concentrated more on building a killer motor package than the exterior giving him plenty of unsuspecting all motor power. The little he’s done to the exterior however has kept the Integra extremely clean and still eye-catching out in the general public. Straight from the OEM factory are the OEM Integra Type-R front lip and side skirts. The car is rolling on extremely rare and lightweight BBR Competition wheels in a 15x6.5 size. Wrapped with 195/50/15 Toyo T1-S tires, this wheel and tire combination alone might be enough to warn people of what’s underneath the hood.

Before we get to the power train however, the suspension deserves a look over as well. Ground Control coilovers on Tokico Blue shocks gives the car the stance and comfortable ride it demands while cruising the streets. Up in the engine bay an OEM Integra Type-R front strut brace was bolted onto the chassis and lastly an Auto-Power 4-point roll bar was installed in the interior to ensure everything is in check.

While we’re in the interior checking out the 4-point roll bar, it’s easy to notice the stock Integra seats are non-existent and in its place are JDM DC2 Recaros. Several more pieces from the JDM DC2 can be found scattered throughout the interior including the air bag delete tray, center console and ITR shift boot. The stock steering wheel was also removed to make way for a Sparco hub decorated with a Personal steering wheel.
Over to the power plant finally, the ’95 GS-R engine has gotten plenty of go-fast goods for its all motor, VTEC induced pleasure. Starting with the head, it received a 5-angle valve job and was milled to make way for higher compression. The stock valves, valves springs and retainers were all replaced with Skunk2 high compression components. An AC block guard was installed in the block as well as being decked. JDM CTR pistons start the rebuild on the internals in combination with a micro-polished and balanced crank. For plenty of high RPM revv’ing power, a set of Skunk2 Stage 2 cams were installed along with Skunk2 cam gears to help fine tune each bit of cam timing. Handling the additional fuel from the 270cc injectors and Walbro 255lph fuel pump, a Skunk2 OBD1 conversion harness was installed with a Skunk2 chipped ECU. Going onto the bolt ons, a Skunk2 intake manifold helps feed in additional air as it all leads through a Header-tech header and through a stainless steel test pipe. Normally Cory has a Fujitsubo Legalis R exhaust system, but it was not present for the shoot. Helping to get all the power to the ground is an ACT heavy duty pressure plate and 6 puck clutch kit. Lastly a Fidanza lightened flywheel makes climbing the RPMs easy.

A wolf in sheep’s clothing so to say, with the new motor setup this GS-R equipped Integra boasts some high compression numbers with plenty of VTEC power to boot thanks to the Skunk2 Stage 2 cams. Be on the look out for the bug eye look, it’s still alive!
